“FLOWER POWER” was a popular term used in the 1960s and 1970s in America. From protests demanding equal rights for every citizen, the 1960s were a tumultuous yet interesting time in history for social change. Some protestors during this era were dubbed as “hippies” short for the term “hipsters”. Hippies were the first to wear flowers, the young pacifists of the 70’s imposed a lifestyle that quickly moved to the catwalk using different prints, geometric shapes, psychedelic shapes and lots of flowers.
In summer the flower power restores femininity and romance with the fresh looks that flowers always gives away. The perfect beauty of nature’s handiwork has attracted human attention since time immemorial, with people seeking to surrounded themselves with prodigious, stunning flowers, their images and their forms. Flowers recreate a new fashion concept inspired by nature with new codes, which lose the rigidity of the previous season and give renewed air to the clothes and accessories. The entire universe is made of energy, and your body is no exclusion.
Long before modern science, ancient cultures knew that all living things carried a life force with them. They called the centers of energy that move inside of us, the 7 chakras.
Chakras are centers of consciousness. They are focal points of energy that have a direct, immediate, and profound effect on our daily lives. Chakra (energy vortices) is an old Sanskrit word that literally translates to wheel. Various esoteric systems see chakras in different colours, with varied symbols, mantras and ascribe various characteristics and talents to each. When the chakras are balance you become empowered; you are able to be a compassionate, conscious, and capable human being. The effect of well balanced chakras often translates into a feeling of well-being, relaxation, increased vitality and embodiment of oneself. Chakra balancing is the process of restoring a harmonious flow of energy across the chakra system.
When we talk about chakra balancing, we may actually refer to various techniques and meanings. A commonly accepted definition of chakra balancing is the process through which the energy of the chakras is brought to a well functioning and harmonious state. The first three chakras deal with the physical needs of the body and the basic needs of life. They focus on elimination and reduction.
The balance point is the heart center, or fourth chakra, is the balance point in the body between the flow of the upper energies of the heavens and the lower energies of the earth, where experience shifts from “me to we”. Finally the upper triangle which combines the effects of the other chakras accumulate, create, and refine the energy. There are no specific gross elements associated with the sixth and seventh chakras, as they correspond to the more subtle realms. Each chakra is a part of a system that functions as a whole.
The premise of working with chakra stones or crystals is that each stone has the purpose of magnifying or balancing the energy center you’re focusing on. In order to choose a healing crystal, you have to look at several stone attributes, including its energetic quality and colour. Since everything is moving, it’s essential that our seven main chakras stay open, aligned, and fluid. Chakras are the energetic wheels that keeps us standing with strength in live and give us amazing ways for healing our selfs.
Our story is to empower women. Untitled Barcelona is the encouragement to develop a personal concept and visual language on the “Chakras” philosophy defined through colours, screen printing, art and stones. I will explore all 7 “Chakras” with different collections combining symbols in the bags design. Untitled Barcelona is a creative process on self reflection and visual moving ideas. The bag you wear has a lift you up message, a declare love to the one.
Summary of the Chakras
Each chakra has a specific location and purpose to keep us balanced physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Here a description of each chakra and the energy that move in us and around us.
First Chakra (Muladhara): Security and Survival. The first chakra is all about physical and emotional survival needs and our sense of stability and groundedness. It exists at the base of the spine and is connected to the earth element. Foundation, survival, security, habit, self-acceptance. Color: Red – Element: Earth – stones: coral and onyx.
Second Chakra (SVADHISTHANA): Creativity. The sacral chakra is associated with the element of water, and it’s all about the flow of creativity and passion. This chakra deals with our attachments and our aversions, and our likes and dislikes. As you can probably guess from its location in the pelvic region, it’s also linked to sensuality and sexuality. To feel, to desire, to create. Color: Orange – Element: Water – stones: Citrine, Carnelian, Moonstone.
Third Chakra (MANIPURA): Action and Balance. The third chakra is a lot about transformation. It’s how we’re not only able to metabolize our food, but metabolize our thoughts and our emotions so that we have this sense of individuality and independence in the world. Located just above the navel and represented by the element of fire, when the third chakra is in balance, you’ll have a strong sense of autonomy, self-esteem, and the ability to persevere. Willpower. Personal power and commitment. Color: Yellow – Element: Fire. – stones: Malachite, calcite, citrine, topaz.
Fourth Chakra (ANAHATA): Love and Compassion. Associated with the element of air, the heart chakra serves as a sort of bridge between the lower and upper chakras. It’s all about creating harmony and balance, and as its location (in the chest) and name would suggest, it deals with many emotions—including love for both ourselves and others. Awakening to spiritual awareness; forgiveness and service. Color: Green – Element: air – stones: rose quartz, jade, green calcite, green tourmaline
Fifth Chakra (Vishuddha): Projective Power of the Word The fifth chakra is all about how we communicate with those around us. When it’s in balance, we’re able to speak our own truths as well as effectively listen to those of others. In the body, this chakra is associated with the cervical spine, neck, and throat regions. Hearing and speaking the Truth. The Teacher. Color: light blue – Element: ether – stones: Lapis Lazuli, turquoise, aquamarine.
Sixth Chakra (AJNA): Intuition, Wisdom, and Identity In Sanskrit, the sixth chakra’s name translates to “command,” so it’s no wonder that it’s associated with the pituitary gland, your body’s “master gland.” Your intuition (and ability to connect with it), your imagination, and your personal perceptions of the outside world are all governed by the third eye chakra. The union of opposites; understanding one’s purpose. Color: Indigo – stones: Amethyst, purple fluorite, black obsidian.
Seventh Chakra (Sahasrara): Humility and Vastness The seventh and final chakra is located at the top of the head. This chakra as, what enables us to connect to all things, in particular, to a realm of this nameless, shapeless, of being that’s not really in the physical world but in this more cosmic realm. Essentially, the crown chakra is what allows you to connect to your spirituality and something deeper than just yourself. Transcendence. The Tenth Gate. The seat of the soul. Color: Violet – stones: Selenite, Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Diamond
FASHION ONLINE SHOPPING – women of the internet.
“The history of shopping is largely a history of women, who have overwhelmingly been the principal shoppers both in reality and in the multifarious representations of shopping” (Bowlby).
“Yes!” the Internet has changed the way we shop fashion.Transforming the way that customers shop, re-shaping the high street as a result. Many of us now shop from our homes and free to do it when ever we want. Only 20 years ago most of us were oblivious to the existence of the internet as a place to shop, but it was not until the invention of the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee that widespread consumer use of the Internet became a possibility. Today we can find an online fashion with nearly every retail product available like handbags, clothes, shoes and more at the best prices and we can do so from any location without worrying about going to the store. No wonder it’s still one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
The fashion marketing around the digital environment, customer’s buying behaviour may not be influenced and controlled by the brand and firm, when they make a buying decision that might concern the interactions with search engine, recommendations, online reviews and other information. So it gives a freedom of decision based on the public interaction or opinions. In other words, the digital environment has a growing effect on consumer’s mind and buying behaviour.
The Ecommerce in fashion, the online shopping system has brought down political and physical barriers giving everyone in the world an equal playing ground for their market, everyone can put their products on sale through the e-stores(website dedicated to selling of product, a virtual store). The rise of the internet commerce in fashion has reshaped labor, commodity flows, and global politics. The success of ecommerce in fashion business holds the potential to weaken women’s access to public space as well as their influence in the market. The world of fashion shopping is changing!
Today we can say that internet is a world showroom for brands where they get too explain and present their products through out a virtual world, creating a space full of emotions, objects and words that might get the attention of the consumer by their social media or website. For the online business is very important to have a solid community following and expressing their personal comments on the products and the brand world.

In Untitled Barcelona our virtual fashion world transmit the colours of emotions for those women that feel unique and free. Come and join our online community and share your comments with us.
Handbags have been essential to daily life ever since people have had something precious to carry around with them, the items have changed over time, like the designs or materials to create a bag. The very first handbag mention in written literature comes from the 14th century, the embroidery and jewels adorned these articles and were used to show status – the richer the person, the more elaborate the bag. In the 16th century fashion dramatically changed, and handbags took on more of an air of practicality with the use of everyday materials such as leather. In the 17th century saw more variety and both fashionable men and women carried small purses with more complex shapes. Young girls were taught embroidery as a very necessary skill to make them marriageable and we see the rise of beautiful and unique stitched artwork in handbags. By the 18th century Women had a different bag for every occasion and every fashion magazine had arguments on the proper carrying of these purses showing that a handbag was a Fashion trend.
The term “handbag” first came into use in the early 1900’s and generally referred to handheld luggage bags usually carried by men. These were an inspiration for new bags designs that became popularised for women, including the details of complicated fasteners, internal compartments, and locks. There was a demand for new purse styles that were more durable and could hold more items. By the time traveling was in vogue and this resulted in luggage makers beginning to create purses for women to use while travelling on trains.
The woman’s handbag as we know it, however, is a much more recent development in the long, humble history of the bag. As the years progressed and handbags became further entrenched in women’s daily lives, they became a barometer for the times, adroitly reflecting the sensibilities of the women who sported them and the culture in which those women lived. The history of the handbag is the history of women: women’s changing tastes, priorities, and roles in society. Handbags have thrived in times of excess and survived in times of scarcity, and even defied repeated calls by feminists to replace them with pockets. Overall, the variety and adaptability of the bag are the very components which allow its evolution to creatively persist.
Today a modern-day handbag is a fashionable bag with straps that easily go over the shoulder, used for carrying personal items such as money, make-up, electronic devices and more. Purses are mainly designed for and worn by women sometimes with a message to empower them and or to simply walk with pride out on the streets. We cannot divine the future of the woman’s handbag. But, for sure today is about expressing yourself thought it and feel conformable with the bag you wear. Untitled Barcelona Handbags have a playful bag design and always with a message to empower the divine feminine, they are full of magic and art.
The Bohemians and the Gypsies, in the most prevalent perceptions of both, shared some characteristics. Both groups are known for their vagabond lifestyle, for the pursuit of music, colour, and relationships.
The term Bohemianism first emerged in the early nineteenth century during a time when financially struggling artists, writers and musicians began to populate the lower-rent, lower class, Romani neighbourhoods of France. The term “mention an unconventional way of life, suggestive of people with shared interests in art, music and even spirituality. This is like a gypsy, it is mysterious and without the intent of extreme fashion. Bohemian style has, for over 200 years been an exotic alternative to the accepted fashions and is generally associated with artists, writers, and intellectuals, bohemian culture incorporates various ethic clothing styles. Is the term that proclaims the “Artist as Genius.” An artist was no longer someone with a particular talent, but became a special kind of person. In earlier times dress had signified social status, a trade, membership of a princely retinue, or a profession. Now for the first time, dress became part of the performance of an individual personality.
Bohemian style consists of loose, colourful clothing and has been known now a days as Boho chic and hippie style. Bohemians stand out in a crowd representing a colourful counterculture based on creativity an indifference to social structures and traditions. Bohemian style came to be associated with young people hoping to distance themselves from the materialistic culture of past generations. Bohemian style gave birth to more modern counter culture styles.
The Bohemian lifestyle also has close ties to the celebration of music, and the Boho style is thus popular at festivals across the world, beginning in the ’60s and ’70s with hippies and the free-spirited who also encouraged an unconventional lifestyle.
Though fashion often embraces Boho chic, the life itself – the yearning for individual freedom, the rejection of modern materialistic concepts, the dream of utopian ideals, and production of hand-crafted goods remains a powerful alternative to mainstream culture. Now, it’s a way to express individuality. Typically characterized by splashes of colour, flowing fabrics, patterns, flowers and excessive accessories, the Boho chic style allows individuals to express their desire to break away from social norms and live unconventionally.
The “bohemian chic” in and of itself is a contradiction since it combines the dressed down and frugal aspects of bohemia with the smart and more expensive accouterments of chic fashion. fashion designers have increased the embellishment, craftsmanship, and material quality of their output, making it trends for years. While its prevalence cannot be denied, few women are turning to the bohemian trend in order to make a self-declarative statement of identity.
The positive thing here is that bohemian styles happen to be in sync with the kind of relaxed, wearable silhouettes that the modern woman favours and, as such, the trend is welcome in wardrobes around the world.
We as a brand feel the connection with the bohemian lifestyle as it´s made of agents and change. We love to challenge and push boundaries and to make a luxurious authentic artistic product.

Fashion is a concept that represents a universal subject, a language understood and spoken by many it was created in the modern industry, based around firms or fashion houses run by individual designers, started in the 19th century.
e ever-changing styles. Fashion is a state of mind. A spirit, an extension of one’s self. Fashion talks, it can be an understated whisper, a high-energy scream or an all-knowing wink and a smile. Most of all fashion is about being comfortable with yourself, translating self-esteem into a personal style. Fashions vary greatly within a society over time, but also are affected by age, occupation, sexual orientation, location and social class. It has been and continues to be a reflection of society and current events.
Fashion is clothing or accessories that becomes a trend, which tends to reflect a behaviour, mindset, or circumstance. There are odd fashion trends all over history, telling a story about the people of that time and culture. A fashion trend is what’s hip or popular at a certain point in time. Usually refers to a certain style in fashion. Today, a fashion trend starts with fashion designers, who design a spring/summer and fall/winter collection based on cues and inspiration they’ve gathered throughout the season. These cues can include popular culture, celebrities, music, politics, nature or something else entirely different like spirituality.
We can say that fashion trend is a creative wind that blows with the expression of time expressing moods throughout the message of colours, fabrics and the design.
During the last years the world of fashion has been changing just as rapidly, while also facing severe individual, social and global challenges. Although timeless descriptors such as quality, personality, style, comfort, beauty and elegance are still firmly linked to the notion of fashion (and luxury), a new framework of aspirations and values defines today’s meaning of fashion which is seemingly different to that of previous generations and perceptions. Today the new frameworks are the street style that has become just as major as the runway shows themselves or the social media concept, because fashion is about people. It involves perception, self-expression, memory, creativity and social interaction. Fashion reveals and shapes our emotions, personality and culture.
Inside Untitled Barcelona we believe in fashion because allows freedom of speech for the creator and the wearer, is about the expression in the art and emotions. We love to express the mantra IAM representing fashion as a powerful communication tool focussing not only on clothing or accessories itself but also on the complexity of human behaviour and communication.
Fashion as a way of communicating!
